There are plenty of ways that you can efficiently heat your home today and two of the most popular are the heat pump and the boiler. There are some differences between these methods, but in the end, they work to heat your house and make you feel comfortable.
How do they work?
Boilers are easy. They work in the way that they say so in their name: they heat water. They heat it and the water is funnelled between the pipes to heat the rest of the house via radiators. Gas or oil is used as a fuel to boil the water before it flows out through the pipes and warms all of the rooms. They are easy to install with the help of an expert, and they are easy to repair and maintain. A regular boiler service is a must, and you will have a boiler that works.
A heat pump primarily uses electricity to move the heat from a cold area to a warmer one. This makes the rooms warmer in the winter but cooler in the summer, and it can generate up to four times the energy it eats. Heat pumps are different to boilers in that they heat the whole house at once, and boilers heat a room at a time based on which radiators are switched on.
Choosing the right heating option will help you to ensure that your home is warm at all times.
